Cartridge technology

The cartridge is made of aluminum and contains 10 ml of irritating or training charge. The uniqueness of the technology lies in the method of application, where a pyro cartridge is used to initiate the shot instead of propellant gas. This has several advantages : significantly longer range, no pressure leakage from the cartridge due to temperature changes, the possibility of use in a closed room or, conversely, when used against the wind.

Principle of the shot – after the striker hits the primer, the powder ignites and the resulting gases expand, which push the piston with the irritant substance out of the cartridge through the nozzle. The shot speed is up to 97 m/s and the range is up to 7 m with a dispersion of up to 50 cm. The substance has a consistency close to gel , so it does not spread into space, but in a very short time its particles fall to the ground and do not endanger bystanders.

Irritant and effects

The irritant PIEXOL is made up of a 10% solution of OC (Oleoresin Capsicum) and causes severe irritation of the eyes, respiratory tract, mucous membranes and even the skin itself . The affected person suffers from disorientation, temporary blindness, severe coughing and burning of the skin.

The effects do not cause permanent damage to health and will subside within 45 minutes . To speed up first aid, apply clean, cool water or a decontamination spray to the affected areas and ensure fresh air supply.
